The PCI offers psychotherapy and counselling to:
One of our main aims is for child/ren and their parent/s or carer/s to form better relational bonds and for us as therapists to become completely redundant as quickly as possible
We often see families who for a number of complicated reasons are not being seen by the NHS*
We also offer a number of different options for parent and child support including :
In depth assessment
Intensive support in times of crisis
One to one psychotherapy for children with separate therapeutic support for parents/carers
Therapeutic support working with parent/carer and child together
Parent coaching and observation
Specialist work with twins and multiples
Infant parent psychotherapy
Infant parent crisis support
Pre-birth psychological work with expectant parents
It costs about £2500 for one child and/or their parents to be seen regularly for one year by our therapists. Some families are fortunate enough to be able to afford the cost of therapy but many with whom we work are not. We prefer not to refuse therapy to anyone based on their financial position.
If you would like to make a donation to the Parent Child Institute fund to support children and families who could not otherwise afford these services, then please click the donate button and follow the instructions. You do not need to have a paypal account to do this.
